The Premium Newquay Surf School

Surf Lessons You Won't Forget

West Country Surf School offer lessons to any age group, with a maximum of 6 students per instructor. Whether you're looking for a family surf lesson, want to get competitive in the ocean with your mates, or want a one-to-one session with an expert, the team at West Country Surf School are experienced surfers and qualified lifeguards who will put you at ease during your session. After your surf lesson, you can just leave the board with us on the beach, and we will return it back up to the surf school.

Need to know

Please arrive half an hour before the class commences. Bring a towel and your full water bottle. Wetsuit and board provided. You're welcome to bring your own board and suit if you prefer. You can bring your keys or phone to the beach as we have lockable waters edge storage (provided at your own risk, limited space for keys/phone and water bottle only).

What to expect

Check in. Change. 5 minute walk to the beach. Introduction. Yoga inspired and surf relevant warm up utilising bodyweight exercises, visualisation and breath work. One and a half hours water time. Debrief.

We're Family Focused.

Joel and the team have taught everyone from ages 7 to 75 this summer. Your swimming abilities, confidence levels or surf experience don't matter.

You're in safe hands. Every instructor is a trained lifeguard and all highly experienced surfers, including the British Pro.

From dedicated parking, to less crowds, to heated changing rooms and on-site food and drink, it's all covered.

You'll enjoy the latest equipment. Simply turn up with swimwear and towel. We'll do the rest!
