The Newquay Surf School Guide To Satisfy Your Post Surf Appetite (During the Day)

Our Newquay Surf School Guide To Satisfy Your Post Surf Appetite For Everyone.

Going to eat out in one of the seafood capitals of the UK, Cornwall and especially Newquay has some gems. We love to give our customers face to face recommendations on where to eat. Now we are going a little further and letting everyone know outside of our Newquay surf school. We have hand-picked our favourite spots to share with you. Be quick though, because all the gems get booked up in no time.

We have eaten at all of these places over the summer and winter seasons. Here at Westcountry Surf School, we are foodies, especially after a day of surfing and coaching at Watergate Bay. There's nothing like a plate of hearty, tasty food that leaves your belly and taste buds popping.

Here we go, lets tuck into our 2021 daytime places to eat in Newquay. Find a nice comfy seat, a hot drink and enjoy this piece whilst you let us tantalise your taste buds.

The Hangout, Watergate Bay

Being just a few steps from the SW coast path, it's the perfect place to start or finish your walk along the beautiful Cornish cliffs. The views are very special and as you sip drink and eat your food looking over the iconic Watergate Bay, time seems to stop. It really is a place not to be missed!

If you are after something a bit more cold and refreshing, their freshly squeezed orange juice is not one to miss.

Lewennick Lodge

The Lewennick Lodge really is a must-visit (if you can get a table). Recently they upped their game on the quality of food and drinks (the belly pork is unreal). It's a clifftop destination with a contemporary restaurant and bar which has long been a favourite with locals and those in the know. The food is super tasty, and it has one of the best views looking right across the Newquay beaches. Perched on the cliff at Pentire Headland, there are lovely walks to Crantock or Fistral so you can walk off your meal with a smile. The vibe here is alway great, even on those rainy summer days where you want to cosy up by a fire.
